Twisted Reality 2009 League-The Great Equalizer-PLAYER Draft

Postby KEVINEHLE » Fri May 21, 2010 10:48 am

[quote:6348f59104="Frank M"]My prediction for waivers. How we enter is when we draft. No one should lose any players and I have enter leagues of this type. So if you enter 1st you have 1st pick in waivers and last if you enter last. This is my experience from the past not sure if Hal throws a curve ball and randomizes the draft order.[/quote:6348f59104]

Man....talk about the Trifecta of getting screwed! Get the 21st team pick, get 1 extra player at pick #35, and most likely ending up 20th or so in Waivers! I love this league!!! :D

Marlins are in.

Also, if anyone is looking for a 1B, Jorge Cantu is up for trade.

The Midwest is loaded - that was fast. I had my team ready yesterday and I go to a meeting for an hour and everyone in the midwest loads within an hour, making me the last to load in the division. Let's hope waivers is random.

Don't want to jinx us, but it is looking surprisingly good. Only 4 to go in the west. Mariners, Angels, Braves & Padres, batter up. Don't be late to this party! :)

Great! Get up this AM, work on hiking trails for 3 1/2 hours and find I'm third from last loading my team. Mariners are in.

If I'm reading the rules correctly from the Help section, it does sound like the waiver order will be random, assuming we all have the same weighted score, which it seems like we should.

[quote:38abc6a9d1]The Waiver Priority order is based on the weight of draft picks lost. If a team loses out on its top priority pick, that's worth 25 weighted points. If a team loses its 25th pick, that's worth 1 weighted point. The team with the most total weighted points would be first in the Waiver Priority, and the team with the fewest would be last. [b:38abc6a9d1]If there is a tie for an amount of weighted points, the Waiver Priority spots are randomly assigned to those teams.[/b:38abc6a9d1] Note: This method of determining the Waiver Priority was formerly offered as an alternative known as "Weighted Waivers", but is now the default setting.

Dellbird, thank you for that information. I hope Kev then gets pick # 24, thereby screwing him even further. Sorry buddy just had to throw you under the bus.
