I'd always thought it was understood you couldn't change after other picks were made, UNLESS their were extenuating circumstances (as Jeep mentions).

But I'd been on the fence about the Suzuki situation, anyway, until Splinter made some excellent points that hadn't occurred to me.

I'd also add, that other teams were at a disadvantage by Suzuki being effectively taken off the boards for a few rounds - causing some changes on which and when catchers were taken after that.

It'd be like if Jeep rescinded his Thome pick, but waited til after Vis picked, so that he wouldn't have a chance at him.

In short, I don't think it should have been allowed

mbrake may not be monitoring this thread, I don't know if he has posted here after the draft began.

My understanding was always that you could change a pick that you had just made if the next pick hasn't been made yet. There are a variety of reasons for this (as stated by others here). I didn't even know DD allowed you to drop/change mid-draft since this is my first time using it. I'm pretty sure you can't do it in the SOM Live Drafts. Ultimately, I'm fine with whatever the Commish and/or group decides.

I'm OK either way as Suzuki isn't a "league changer". I understand it's the principle of the thing more than the impact on the league.
Of course, since MBrake is a fellow Twins fan and Minneapolis resident, I may be more willing to let it slide. :wink:

I see both sides. What can we do to get this going again? I don't want to wait until Jeep's turn is almost up to figure it out, then the problem snowballs if it skips him.

This will likely only lead to a missed draft pick for you. I can't change a pick myself as administrator. mbrake and splinter would have to both drop their picks (or as splinter suggested, a trade).

So far MoFo's of Mayhem, ehlekev, and AeroDave10 have said they're ok with the move, and Jeepdriver, the splinter, and keyzick are not ok with the move.

Doesn't bother me as my draft strategy has gone up in smoke. My team prediction....I lose EVERY series and finish at 54-108. The shame if it is that I have now sunk to Kevs level. :shock:

I seem to have the inside track for worst performance in the NL Only League. Maybe the next theme league should be the Seinfeld/Bizarro League? Draft the opposite of what your gut tells you.
