In another post Marcus Wilby made a suggestion that people should try something different instead of the usual 50M for hitters and 30M for pitchers roster that we all seem to end up with.
I decided to take him up on that and here is my team. Can it win with pitching like that?

Other parks in the division are: PETCO, SAFECO & Turner.
I wasn't sure that I would get all 3 of DLee, ARod & B Roberts.
I will be dropping Brocail for the best *SP I can get moving Rusch and Walker to the pen and spot start duty if needed.
This experiment may bomb but I am really looking forward to seeing how it turns out. :D

I like it..........You have JJ--You'll win it all :D :D I was kind of surprised you have Brian Roberts..Didn't think you were a big fan of his in this set...I think your offense will be pretty darn good..and with JJ winning 20 you'll look good  . I have Loaiza on a team going right now at MM and he has 15 wins about 2/3 of the way through..Go get em'. :?

I don't think B Roberts card is worth 11M but it is still excellent obviously. It goes along with my theme of 1's on defense and 600 PA. I really wanted 1's at SS and 2B to help my pitching.

I'd like to see a decent closer in the mix there.
Like a C4 or better.

I ended up ising my last credit to see if DP's really are hurting offenses. Obviously my pitching needs works, but I got everyone I wanted on offense. We'll see if it performs to the lvl it should.

I'm assuming your team name geek is reflective of your new addition to the family.
Congrats geekor!

The only C4 or better closers still available under 2M are:
Schilling
Looper
Walker
Graves
I am not going to set anyone for closer. Don't you think that between the 4 closer rated guys I have that I'll be OK there for the money? The above 4 available guys are not inspiring. Keep in mind it is all relative to the money I am apportioning to pitching.
For 2.07 or 2.08 I could get Hoffman or Baez but I don't see where that money is coming from. Once I turn Brocail into my 4th *SP I won't have much of any money left.

Hey LMBombers, congrats for trying.
Honestly, I have no clue how your team will perform.
There are, however, a few things I would definitively change.
First, I would get 4 *SP. In your case, I would do so not because of the lack of efficiency of splitting *SP/non-SP (not a reason given that you have only cheap pitching), but to increase your bullpen to seven relievers. Given you have a really cheap bullpen and no reliever stands as a bet set-up man, you better concentrate on getting as much specialists as you can and use the quick hook as often as you can.
The best remaining cheap *SP for your stadium are, I believe, Robertson, Marquis, H.Ramirez, Arroyo (a bit more expensive), and of course, Radke, who is probably gone anyway. If there are all too expensive, I guess you could opt with Lawrence. But between you and me, I would rather remove Ausmus for a cheaper catcher and get one of the aforementioned SP. I know you have your 1-rating concept, but catcher ratings are just so different than any other ratings, and I am far from convinced priced appropriately these c-1 catchers (I find Ausmus' pricing suspect).
For the same reason (get as many cheap relievers as possible), I would release one player for a reliever (probably Burroughs....Vizcaino will easily handle all infield spots in case of injury). I would probably get a pinch-hitter on the bench instead of carrying both Davanon and Chavez.
Looper is one I would put my hand on if still available. I saw great things in a specialist role.

My real concern is your stadium. Jacobs really kills comebacks, and you will likely need a few of them to stay competitive.
I hope at least that you will have B.Roberts/ARod/ Lee as 1-2-3. ARod and Lee's horrible clutch will be hidden, and you will maximize the big inning, in my opinion.
