Great Starts to Strat Careers

Not to toot my own horn (but toot toot), but I finished my third strat season with my third playoff team and second championship. The playoff team that didn't win was in advanced league too. The totals break down like so:

3 teams
3 playoffs
2 championships

What are the best starts to your Strat careers?

That is impressive. My first six 2001 teams didn't make the playoffs before I got lucky number seven to win a championship. I have since won 25 championships in nine SOMO games, but my initial foray into the game was definitely a learning experience and it took me a year or two before I could handle myself with all veteren competition. I hadn't played Strat for years(decades?), but even if I had, I doubt I could win a title so quickly.

Overhaul Manager Ratings

Strat should really post a legitimate 'standings' of managers. That is, not based on how many leagues they bought into, but on the simple mathematics of PCT of CHAMPIONSHIPS in respect to how many SEASONS they've participated in. Any other bogus rating system is worthless.

I won my first ever league (2002) :D

I have yet to make it to the finals again in 200X, although I made the playoffs twice in 2005 so far.

A little bit more success on the ATG side with 2 titles and a few other playoff appearances.

Hey there

Sleepdok,

Posting a team link is easy. Just go to the league statistics page, right click on your team, copy the link and paste it here.

$60 million live draft full of inflated manager ratings and inflated egos just waiting to be brought back to earth. Still needs five.

I won five championships with the 2004 cards last year, and aside from three teams with the 2003 set, that was my "rookie" year. 5 champs, played 24 teams. I know it's not mind blowing, but I thought it was pretty darn good.
