Am in Cellular

Utley 2b-3 with power (may be available in trade) vs. Ellis 2b-2 with less power ( now in free agency)?

Gomes RF 4 with monster power vs. jenkins RF-2 for starting RF? (don't have a 2nd hitter, have lots of power, now eith Gomes , Jenkins a free agent.)

Tejada vs. Wilson (may be available in trade.)- is a SS-1 like Wilson worth trading for a more all around player like Tejada (already have lots of HR power, can't have too much at the cell I guess :shock: .)

Hey sleepdok, you seem to be making good use of the forums and your team is developing nicely. I think your staff is set and should do great!

As far as your lineup, again, I wouldn't want to surround Griffey (a 3 in center) with two other poor fielding outfielders, like Dunn and Gomes, but they do have pop. Difficult decisions to make.

However, I think you can improve at first. I would get rid of Perez and go for Branyan at first. He is a 9R who does terrific in hitters parks with tons of power and obp, and you will face way more righties than lefties in Strat. Back him up with a cheap platoon to hit lefties rather than spend the bulk of your money on a player who will hit lefties v. righties when lefty pitchers are fewer and farther between.

I like Tejada better than Wilson. Your pitchers strikeout a lot of hitters and although Wilson will be a wiz up the middle, his bat is horrible. I like Jenkins better than Gomes for RF and I think Grudz will do fine for your team, because the rest of the team (cept Redmond) have a ton of pop. Can't have them all be perfect! There's only so much money to go around.
