How do you think I'll fare in my first Strat-O-Matic season? Here's my lineup and rotation:

Starting Pitchers:
-Smoltz*
-Oswalt*
-RJ*
-Webb*
-Escobar

Relief Pitchers:
-Francisco Rodriguez (closer)
-Scott Shields
-JC Romero
-Jeff Nelson
-Lance Carter
-Ray King

Starting Lineup:
-Soriano (2B)
-Jason Bay (CF)
-Miguel Tejada (SS)
-Jason Giambi (1B)
-Carlos Lee (LF)
-Victor Martinez (C)
-Jermaine Dye (RF)
-Aubrey Huff (DH)
-Jorge Cantu (3B)

Bench:
-Carl Everett
-Tony Womack
-Joey Gathright
-Corey Patterson
-Javy Lopez

Your input would be appreciated on how I should play out the season as its about to begin...thanks!!

Agree on reading the newbie thread. This is Strat, NOT fantasy baseball. While the lineup looks like it might win a roto league, this team can't compete in a strat league.

Agree with Turtle here: DEFENSE!!!!!

amitdoc-----------The other guys are right..I really like your pitching but your defense is horrible....Even though the offense looks great, it would have to be as you'll have to score a ton of runs to win...Your very good pitching staff will not look so great with these guys playing behind them..You'll give up a bunch of extra hits and make ALOT of errors...What park are you in and what are the other parks in your division?? Those are questions you will need to address and whatever you do you need to upgrade your defense or you'll be in for a long year..Just my 2 cents.
