ROSTER MOVE Questions?!?

ROSTER MOVE Questions?!?

Postby amitdoc2b » Sun Jul 02, 2006 2:55 pm

I have a couple of questions regarding roster moves:

(1) I know you can keep as low as 24 people on the roster, but how many of these MUST be pitchers. Is it 9 (5 starters, 4 relievers)? So I can keep 15 hitters and 9 pitchers?

(2) If a middle reliever (i.e. Roberto Hernandez) pitches 2 innings in a game. How many straight days can he do this for? In other words, how much rest does a pitcher like this need in between outings?

(3) If a starting pitcher/reliever (i.e. Rich Harden) is on your team, and starts a game - how much rest does he need before he can be used in the bullpen as a reliever? And vise versa, if he is relieving 2-3 innings in a game, how much rest does he need before he can start a game?

Its my first season so I appreciate your help.

Thanks a bunch!!

The simplest answer is....go to your team home page and use the help button(upper right). Read the rules and FAQ's. You will find your answers and more.

At all times, you must have at least 24 players and no more than 28 players on your roster.
You must have at least 13 and no more than 17 hitters. At least two of those hitters must be eligible to play catcher.
You must have at least 10 and no more than 12 pitchers.
You must have at least 5 pitchers who have starting pitcher Endurance ratings (for example: S7).
You must have at least 4 pitchers who are "pure" relievers (i.e. a relief rating (e.g. R2) but no starter rating).
You must have at least 1 pitcher who has a closer Endurance rating (e.g. C4).

Thanks for your clarification, but that only answers my first question. What about question #2 and #3? Its going to help me decide who to keep and who to drop before the season starts, thats why..

Not sure about the starter/reliever thing. I once had Escobar start a game and then got me a save the game after. It wasn't like he was the last option Hal had either.

Hey, thanks, I didn't know that. I must have been lucky when I picked my rosters.

Thanks again.
