Dammit... I thought that, in my brilliance, I was the only one onto Heilmann. To my dismay, I am not.
I believe that you can win with two or more highly priced players, as long as they are highly priced due to strengths that work well with your home park. I don't feel that you can win with the "Big Guns" strategy in, say, Yankee Stadium or the Metrodome, because your team should probably be more well rounded. But to grab a stud starting rotation in Petco with a cheap but effective offense should, in theory, be successful. In contrast, and high powered offense, like the ones Jerlins just described, can win if paired with cheapy groudballing pitchers and a solid, if unspectacular, defense.
