This is a game at which I definitely would NOT have liked to be part of the home crowd. It had all the makings of a laugher for the host Bulls Eyes, who had ridden 4 HRs (2 by LF Jason Bay) to an 11-4 lead over the Angkor Wat Anasazis going into the 9th inning. Then the wheels came off. And exploded.

ELEVEN consecutive batters reached base to start off the top of the 9th, off of 4 different pitchers, and the Anasazis had exactly the 8 runs they needed to storm back from being down by 7 runs and take a 1-run lead. Derrick Turnbow then calmly pitched a perfect bottom of the 9th to preserve the insane victory.

As reported in the recap, winning pitcher Joaquin Benoit said, "The only way this one could have been better was if we had played it at home." Okay, would somebody smack this guy?

With the bases loaded, 1 run already across and 1 out,

Navarro steps to the plate, tying run at 1st, one out........and then this

An appealed Double Play that ends the game.....Never seen that before.

Bernie, can you explain whether this was an appealed swinging strike and runner caught stealing home or if it was a Sac Fly and appeal at third for leaving early....just wondering.

I don't know how else to say it but 21 runs in the first inning. Not even my team, but, to quote Anchorman..."I'm not even mad, that's amazing!"

Um....I think that was 2 runs in the first, and 10 in the second.
