Bernie: Dead-End Bullpen Logic Test?

On 15 May, TSN responded with this posting after a barrage of "complaints" about the one-size fits all SOM bullpen logic engine:
[quote:a386e70009]Hey everyone,
I'm forming a special testers group to assist me in testing some changes I plan to make to the bullpen manager code. The group will participate in 1 or more (most likely accelerated) test seasons in the 2006 game and each member will be expected to examine every one of his own team's boxscores.
If you have general availability over the next 2 months and an existing affinity for perusing boxscores, please post your name here. Serious inquiries only, please. [/quote:a386e70009]
Based on my information, the testers ran through less than a half season and then the test stopped. Of course, the premature or illogical relief choice "problem" still exists unless something changed unbeknowst to us. :shock:
Either TSN had enough runs to validate its theory on [b:a386e70009]how or why[/b:a386e70009] Hal Eastman's pitching logic operated to provide a counter control (e.g., add [i:a386e70009]extra, extra conservative[/i:a386e70009] to the manager's strategy controls for relief usage) or pick your own reason why the test isn't testing anymore.
Nevertheless, I submit that TSN's validation of SOM's pitching engine code is important to all versions of TSN's offerings (ATG, 80s, 200x).
[b:a386e70009]GEE, SO WHAT HAPPENED AND WHY DIDN'T TSN REPORT BACK ON IT?[/b:a386e70009]
{maybe President Bush declared TSN's solution a national secret as he wants to use it on the war against terrorism :roll: }
