Am I on pace for the best '06 record yet, with my first team?

This just happens to be my first online strat team in 1 1/2 years, and I'm only 19 years old, although I started online strat when I was 15/16 so I do have some prior experience....turns out it's a good one....and I'm 17-6 in my last 23 games after a 47-29 start, so I'm not going to hit a wall, and my pitching has actually improved to 1st in the league lately, with my hitting first in the league by far also. My 65-34 record is on pace exactly with the Pythagorean theorum for wins, so it isn't out of luck either.

I am on pace for 106 wins, [b:fc4991d8d8]is there any NON theme league 80 MILLION salary team that has done as well or better then 106 wins?[/b:fc4991d8d8] What is the best record? I would really like to know.

I'm not trying to show off, I'm just pretty proud that I still have it after a long break and not much experience. The game is ALL about number crunching the cards, and lefty/righty splits. That's mostly it. And I spend WAY too much time doing it for a 19 year old! :D

Also, if anyone has ANY idea how many '06 strat teams/leagues have been played for the season that would be great! Just an educated guess would do fine...

I'm starting a new EXACT opposite team in PetCo, and it's looking great, I'll be seeing you guys at the top of your divisions :P Just kidding!

No one knows what the best record has been since the 2006 record book has not been compiled yet. Your team is looking good but one thing is for sure. Your team will not have the best record since you just jinxed yourself by making this post. Look for a loosing streak to start.

It is kind of like the SI cover jinx.

Well at least you had a nice first 100 games. :P

Congrats on your impressive start, but the prioir post is correct, things change too fast to be posting your successes until they happen. Based on the scarcity of 100 win teams to date, I'd say you are still more likely to win <100 games than more than 100 games. You still hvae more than one third of the season too play.

Thanks for the congrats......No way is it likely that I win less then 100 games, that's ridiculous....I would have to go 35-28 the rest of the way, and I'm averaging 42-21 in those games, I'm going to win a minimum of 100. I have a 590 to 414 run differential and I'm 17-6 lately, so I'm not going to crash. My 28 mil staff in US Cell is leading the league in ERA at 3.84 runs per game, while I score 5.96! I'm just saying....would really like to know some of the best record, just to know what to shoot for for a personal goal :D Thanks guys! Not saying I will have the best record, but I think i'll win 100

My last 52 and 26 team went 41 and 43 the rest of the way - why? Luck. The fates. HAL. The roll of the dice. The turn of a card. Good luck, but don't count those chickens quite yet!!

I'm sure someone has more than 103 wins, but I just completed a Cell team with that amount. Good luck to you.

Well considering that you finish off playing your division and of your div. rivals two are playing with 4 mil already gone in salary and the other is playing with 68 mil I think you have a good chance of continuing the hot streak.

I think some of your players are performing slightly higher than expected but no matter what big kudos for putting the team together 8)

Way-ta-go

I don't believe as much in lucky rolls as some here, but that team could make me a believer for sure. There is nothing special about it.

The 3B platoon is good. The Helling/Shields duo is doing fantastic. But what appears to be a platoon of 4's in RF is bullshite.
