Does anyone have the computer SOM game and use the Super Lineups showing your preferred backups for each position, etc? I don't own the game which is why I am bringing this up.
If you do use it and like it please see the SUPER HAL LINEUP thread in the ATG forum that Bernie started today. He is considering implimenting this lineup logic into the online SOM games.
If you can help him please respond to his post in the ATG forum. This sounds like it would be an excellent tool to use!

[quote:2715baea2f="bernieh"]Good news...
I did a little bit of testing and it appears that 1) the SuperHal Lineup Depth Charts feature would indeed be a big improvement to the built-in lineup sub logic, and 2) the code would be easy to prepare for inclusion in the online game.
The only obstacle is building an intuitive interface for you to take advantage of the feature - hopefully I can find a good solution before too long. You can look forward to this enhancement a little bit down the line, hopefully sooner rather than later.
p.s. Don't ask me about the SuperHal Bullpen Logic at this time; that is a much more complicated system and is not as compatible with the online game. I do hope to consider it in the future.[/quote:2715baea2f]

Sorry. I could not find the thread yesterday. I posted today what amounts to a thank you note.

Frankly, I am still waiting for Bernie and company to unass the pitching logic (conservative should mean conservative not normal). :x
While subs can impact a few game per season, HALs' one-size-fits no owner pitching logic inside of the TSN game engine environment impacts almost one or two games per series.
Sure - controlling your subs is a nice fix but it merely allows me to limit HAL from using my $.50m back-up catcher as a relief pitcher.
