Injuries to *SP

I was under the impression that an SP that can work on 3 days rest can only be injured for up to 3 games.Perhaps this impression is wrong.

I have Bruce Chen listed as injured for 5 games yet scheduled in the games for tomorrow as the starter after only sitting injured for 3 games.

Is HAL going to put another starter? -My guess is yes.

Am I wrong in thinking that *SPs can only be injured for 3 games?

Could it be that injury came due to his also being rated as an RP?

There has been much discussion on this topic in previous threads. The consensus seems to be that 200 innings is the same as 600 PA for hitters. If a pitcher had at least 200 innings then he can not be injured for more than 3 games at a time. Even though Chen is a *SP he only had 197 IP.

Chen will not pitch in his next start even though you have him in your per game starter or rotation settings much like if you kept an injured hitter in your lineup. HAL will pitch another rested SP in his place or if you don't have one a RP will start the game in Chen's place.
