This is link to my new Petco team, Just drafted, looking at waiver options,

Yhere is a Minute Maid, Fenway , and Wrigley in my division. 2 of those teams have a lot of righties in lineup. I plan to replace Small with a cheaper R/R starter. Replace Howry with real closer (don't want to use Wickman as closer in a heavy rughty division) and get a cheap righty specialist starter, I also will replace Sizemore and Kennedy with high average 3b and cf. (these are all players I did not draft.)
So this will leave me with a nice pool of money, about 9 mil, what do I do with it?
Get a 2-3 mil righty set up guy to replace Madison>
Get a stud 2b to upgrade Counsel, Ellis and Roberts both available,
Fet a bigger bat to replace Harris as DH vs, righties, Howard is best available.
Get Escobar to spot start agaisnt righty teams.
Or something else?
Martinez is only stud starter left, he seems like a waste in Petco,
What do you think?

Kim---Who is gonna be your RF?? Rodriguez-Devannon?? I believe I would dump Kennedy (Hurt to much) and go with Counsil and invest my money in a stud RF with a gun.and an offensive force..I myself would keep Sizemore....IMO dump Small as you said and get you another *....Lackey--Webb--JJ--Maddox--Conteras all in that price range. Good luck to you. :D

The bad thing about using a player that is catcher elligible (LeCroy or Nevin) outside of your starting C and backup C (or platoon) is that it is possible to have both of your "real" catchers injured and your 3rd catcher must catch. As long as you only have 2 catcher elligible players on your roster you can only have 1 of them injured at one time.

Get Pedro, he is best suited for Petco.

Don't worry too much about high average. With Clark and ARod, you have a nice number of natural HRs. I'd look for OBP over average (the combo + high doubles, the ideal). Escobar can do more than spot start.

It would be nice to have a top of the rotation guy. I've seen mixed results for Pedro, but he's a pretty good bet. There's probably a better fit for Petco than Sabathia, IMO -- if you're looking R/R Weaver, Radke.

An upgrade at 2nd is a good move; BRob and Ellis are steady performers. Also agree about upping the outfield.

Who would you lead-off against righties? I'd also consider playing Hocking at 3B if you run into a $ problem.

Well, Here;s where I am now:

I tried for Roberts didn't get him, settled for Ortiz. My division is very rughty lleaning. Not a kit of lefty starters, two teams with a lot of rightu hitters, I still have some finetuning to do, Harris, Madison, and Kline all seem questionable at this time. My big question is, Do I have enough pitching?
your opinions?
