Waivers Question

If you anticipate a team dropping a player during waivers, can you put a claim in on the player you think will be dropped and have it work?
Has anyone ever done this?

No--I don't believe this is possible--he would not be listed as a free agent.....If you think he'll be dropped, I would contact the owning manager and try to work out a trade for someone you are planning to drop.

That's correct, no you can't
