rotations

i have four starters who can all start on three days rest. however, i thought i had my rotation set up to where it was a five man rotation and not four. does the computer automatically start a guy if he has had 3 days rest regardless of what i have set up in my rotation??

1st of all it is my understanding that hal should follow your 5 man rotation
2nd wonder who this 5th starter is that you are trying so desperatley trying to start. would like to see a link to your team. other than having a 5th starter who is a situational guy cant see any advantage to having a 5 man rotation with 4 * starters

i'm just concerned about wearing out santana and peavy. do most players use a four man rotation?

there is no such thing as wearing out sp amount of starts or innings have no impact on the cards and yes if you have 4 * sp you go with a 4 man rotation show me a link
go to your front office and right click your team and hit copy shortcut and than paste it here

ok your link didnt work but you have to keep 5 starters on your roster just dont use Elerton he is cheap enough

see my team I have stauffer as 5th starter I just wont ever use him

I think it needs to have an id number at the end otherwise it just takes me to my teams

SOM has two settings for SP rotation: One strictly follows the order that is laid out: 1-2-3-4-5-1-2-3-4-5. The other setting always starts with the first pitcher in the rotation and looks at each in turn for the first pitcher that is available to start (not tired).

TSN uses the second setting, so if you have 4 *SP pitchers HAL will not start the 5th pitcher because there will always be a pitcher ahead of him in the rotation who can start.

If you want a 5-man rotation with 4 *SPs you need to place your non-*SP pitcher somewhere besides the 5th spot; or you will have to use per-game assignments to get him to pitch.

thanks charlie never knew that just like I didnt know that although Jeter didnt get any hits the other night because he had no official ab's his hitting streak continued. funny that I never knew that dont think it happened during Dimaggios streak though
