Playoffs-Starting Pitchers

If a pitcher can pitch on 3 games rest, in a 5 game series, he is eligible to pitch games 1 and 5. Is this correct?

That is correct. Only a *SP can make 2 starts in the first round of the playoffs. He must start game 1 and would then be available for game 5.

In the Finals (7 game series) no pitcher can make more than 2 starts. If a *SP starts game 1, 2 or 3 he would be elligible to make another start if the series lasts that long. A regular SP can pitch in game 1 or 2 and still be elligible to pitch in game 6 or 7.

If a pitcher pitches games 1 and 5 in the semi-finals, what is the 1st game that he can pitch in the finals? Game 4?
