I'd probably lead off both ways with Jeter. Abreu #2 at least vs. RHP.

Tough lineup.

Just out of curiosity...how's the pitching?

I'd go:

vs. RH's
Jeter
Abreu
Pujols
Giambi
Kent
Klesko
Edmonds
Varitek
Gomez

Lemme think a minute about it vs. LH's...

i'd lead off abreu and bat jeter 2nd vs rhp.

abreu has less hits than jeter on his card vs rhp.

The problem with that is Jeter has 14 DP chances whereas Abreu has only 4 DP chances vs. RH's.

With their OB chances almost the same, I'd rather have less of a chance of a DP, and go with Jeter leading off.

IMHO... :D

Thanks for the lineup help.

I played my first series at home (US Cellular Field) last night.
My team went 3-0 which is great. :D

However looking at the statistics for the 3 games, you would've thought
they had been played in Petco. :?:

Team Pitching:
2.33 ERA
1.07 Whip
21 SO
2 HR

Team Hitting:
4 HR
12 RBI
.200 BA
.293 OBP
.353 SLG

viz since they both have * the dp changes are reduced.

I'd rather have the hits that are going to run abreu around to 3rd than worry about the dp's. lots of ways to score from 3rd....

[quote:2af3db8469]since they both have * the dp changes are reduced. [/quote:2af3db8469]This is true if a gb(X) roll comes up, but since it is indeed the same effect for both of them, I don't see how it helps Jeter relative to Abreu. (Note that in super-advanced, which is what we're playing here, a gbA+ to an infielder is not a single if he's holding a runner; it's only if he's positioned in.) Jeter is still about 10% more likely to ground into a double play off the righty side of his card than Abreu is.
