Who your favorite '06 players at each postion? I'm not talking about an allstar team but guys that you seem to always end up with, the guys you have gotten consistently and want on your teams. for me it's the following.
(but judging by my record maybe I should change how I do things)

CA-Schneider -love to platoon him with J. Molina
1B-Sexson -always puts up good #'s for me, regardless of BP
2B-Counsel -all around ability at a good price
SS-Cabrera -seems to be the place I always save $$$, little O, great D
3B-Ensberg -more often than not worth the $$$
LF- ??? no real consistent guy for me here. L. Gonzalez maybe or Floyd
CF- Rowand or Beltran- love Rowands's D and #'s vs L, Beltran good price
RF- Guerrero -Love VLAD, always puts up #'s- wish he had 600 PA's
DH-B. Clark or Lugo, usually the place I like to get my leadoff guy from.

Bench-Sullivan, Blum

SP-Peavy -good price, usually great #'s
CL-Jones -I always try to draft him, almost always get him.
RP- Wandy Rodriguez always my long relief, mop up, 5th starter guy.

Guys I have to quit taking cause they never perform for me;

-Shields
-M.Giles

C- Mauer/platoon (Olivo, Molina, Doumit) or V. martinez (and take a c/1B to platoon at 1b like Lecroy)
1B- anyone depending on the Park (love Lecroy v. LHP)
2B- Utley
SS- Jeter
3B- Youklis (or platoon)
LF- ball park dependent - Floyd, Michaels and so on or a pltoon with Anderson
CF- Damon (or Ellison/Sullivan or Taveras)
RF- Vlad or Abreu (McLouth)
DH- Garabito/Young/Anderson -- Ghidorah -- the 3-Headed Monster whom regularly kicked Godzilla's @SS

SP- Pete Walker, J Vargas, Traschel, Wells, Lackey
LHRP- no favorite (2nd favorite- Guardado)
RHRP- depends on budget, I like Krod here if I have $$ or Weathers, Jones, Hermanson
CL- Shields

Bench: Davannon, Feliz, Cuddyer, Bruntlett

I've mostly played MM this year, yes I'm lazy

C- Sal Fasano Great pop from both sides, lefty KILLA
1B-Shelton or Conine
2B- Love Ellis's card, Giles too
3B-Miggy ofcourse but I havent had him but once
SS-any good D guys, Jeter is nice but haven't had him much
LF- Conine Really like his OB & TB vs RHH, no power but that's ok
CF- Taveras for the $$ a solid value, Andruw if you can get him
RF-ManRam, but the one time I did have him...omg, bad!!
DH- Peralta

SP Zambrano/Davis/Garland
RP Street/Shileds/Thompson Thompson has been lites out on every team I'v had

C-Fasano-just started using him. On a pace for 60+ HR in US Cell
1B-D Lee-have used him a lot, easy to get in most $80 leagues, anchors a lineup
2B-Belliard-reasonable $$$, good for 25+ HR & 80+ RBI in US Cell
SS-M Young-can bat 1st or 3rd, great in Minute Maid
3B-Glaus-top 12 in HR almost every time for <$5.00
LF-Floyd-keeps his power vs LH, similar to Glaus, can be your best hitter in a good year
CF-Griffey-hits LH well, reasonable $$$ & injury
RF-Vlad, Gibbons, Dye-tough to argue with a healthy Vlad season. Gibbons & Dye can be very good players in the right park. Dye particularly in Minute Maid.
SP-Lackey-underrated IMO, seems to always win more than his fair share
SP-Pettite-Very consistent, nice ace in a LH park
RP-Wagner-dominant like no other in a LH park. I've seen some eye popping seasons
Unsung Player-Granderson-a poor man's Cliff Floyd, but can play CF and rarely drafted. Capable of posting 25+ Doubles, 20+ Triples & 40 HR's. Not too shabby.

Pitchers park:
C: Redmond - best value
1b: Lee/Casey - Lee as a dominant hitter, casey as a great value
2b: Roberts - Defense, and a great hitters (vs righties)
SS: M Young - 3 at defense, whatever. With a bat that produces no matter where he plays, who cares
3b: Figgins - Speed, decent def, good enough to leadoff vs righties.
LF: Crisp - I always miss out on who I want and end up using him. Though I really should start platooning him vs lefties...
CF: Duffy - bats over .300, good enough for 2nd or 5th in the lineup
RF: Ichiro - the def, the arm, the great stats vs lefties (especially since most of my team is geared towards righties)
DH: A Sanchez - for less than 2.5 mil, he'll hit over .300 every time.

SP: Maddux - great value when you don't have to worry about the HR's
RP: Baldwin - have gotten such great results from him as my long releiver

Hitters park:
C: Barajas - 50 hr's from a catcher for less than 3 mil? Beleive it.
1b: Lee/Shelton/Pena - Lee of course hits anywhere, Shelton has been amazing when facing enough R, Pena hits over 50 Hr's with little else, but is very affordable.
2b: Kennedy - You gotta skimp somewhere to afford the guys you relaly need. Great def, low dp's, bat him 7th or 9th as a 2nd leadoff.
[b:b69336db21]SS: AROD - there is no one else. Building a team in a hitters park, you get ARod to play SS and the rest is easy.[/b:b69336db21]
3b: M Cabrera/A Ramirez - Hard to get Miguel, but he is always awesome. If I miss him ARam makes great protection vs Lefties
LF: Gomes - great #2 hitter, can get a .380+ obp with 35+ hr's and low dp's.
CF: Griffey - nuff said
RF: Giles - someone has to get on base for the sluggers to knock in!
DH: F Thomas - for how cheap, he'll get 50+ hr's in only 400 ab's.

SP: Lackey, Glavine, Byrd - cheap, effective enough and saves money for hitters
RP: Vogelsong - you need someone to eat innings so you can win the games!

C: VMart. J. Molina for the cheap
1st: Dunn-defense suspect, but can flat out hit in hitters or LH parks.
2nd: Counsell-3 game max injury, good field, in a weak position
SS: Jeter-OBP machine, good D. ARod of course
3rd: Mora-Can hit anywhere
LF: Floyd in a hitters park
CF: Kotsay, Wells, Rowand. Hate them all, Kotsay best of the bunch
RF: Giles. Green/Derosa platoon works great too
DH: Ortiz. B. Clark on the cheap

SP: Any mid range LH SP (except for Glavine) to negate the ARods, Pujols, Andruws of the world, as well as the big bopping LH sluggers as well. Also, Moyer has been great for me for the cheap.
CL: Heilman and Wagner
RP: Cheapies include Wickman, Ayala, Carrera
Bench: Carroll, Bruntley

Have to mention the "Never Agains":
Pettite-third in wins, era, and whip on a Dolphins team to Blanton and Buehrle who combined don't add up to to his salary
Colon-seen him do well, never for me on the 3 or 4 teams I've had him
Glavine-Had him twice, killed me twice
Wilkerson- (see Glavine)
M. Giles-I always get $3 worth of stats for my $7
Posada-Not all that bad, but I've gotten better production from an assortment of platoons.
