ATG III the most popular I think Depends where your knowledge is If current baseball fan recommend 2006 Used to be free 21 game season in 2003 link Don't know if its still there Thats how I started Now I am hooked I play everything but mostly ATG III and current season

I think it really depends on what era of baseball you loved most. If it's the current era, there's 2006; if it was the '80s, there's a game for that; if it was the '70s, there's a game for that; and if you're real old, there's an All-Time game that has almost everybody  I don't think you need to consider anything other than the players you are most familiar with and want to play with most.

Go ahead and try the 2006 season first if you have never played Strat-o matic before so you can begin to understand the cards. If you already played any strat try thr ATG III

I thought the same, 25$? Yet once you begin to understand (and you will) the game it is quite fantastic! The biigest tip I have found is you need to look at and pay attention to the players cards

See, this is what i was afraid of. I just joined strat-O 2006 and there isnt a league with more than 6 people in it, so now i have to wait around until another 6 people join?

The best tip I can give is to scour the forums and look at other teams and leagues as folks post links to them. When I began playing online Strat, it was without ever playing Strat in any form at all. Lots of great advice is given on the forums, and sift through and find a philosophy you can agree with.
Keep in mind this is a statiscal game, and what works in fantasy baseball, and real baseball for that matter, most likely will not work in Strat. For me, the most fun (and 95% of my effort) is building the team before the season begins. Enjoy the game, don't get frustrated, trust your original instincs and keep the team together once you build it, as I've rarely seen a salary dumped team make it to the playoffs.
Good luck to you and welcome to the community.

Games usually fill in a day or two at this time of the year.
