USKL style keeper auction league

USKL style keeper auction league

Postby nythawk129921 » Tue Sep 13, 2005 8:59 am

I was wondering if there is any interest in a keeper league but done auction style.I was thinking that we would have a 33 player and 2 stadium type auction league.I have lost interest in this season but am looking forward to seeing the cards for several players for next season(i.e Clemens among others). We would play 1 season with this years cards and then we would move into next season playing possibly 3 times with next seasons cards. If there is enough interest in this type of format we can work on the rules at that time.I know I would want to work along the lines of keeping up to a certain number of players each season and then having another auction type draft before the start of the next season(whether it be a set number of players or a salary amount wouldnt matter to me

I have never been in an auction league before, but would be interested. If I could just get a brief synopsis of the rules attributable to an auction, that would be great.

You know- the funny thing is I was thinking about the exact same concept this morning. USKL 1 and 2 is enough for me though.

if we get enough interest we can work on the ground rules but I definitely feel that an auction type league where all free agents have to be re-bid on would create more excitement and involvement from all managersPenn could your auction site accommodate such a league with so many players per team?

I'd be intrested, but I'm also an auction neophyte and would need to know how it works.
