Forget what you know about the real players and focus on how good their card is. The results will be based on how good of a SOM card they have not on how good the actual player is or his potential.

Keep Clemens and drop all of the rest of your starters. Get a 75ยข SP, who will never pitch, and then get the best 3 *SP you can get. If I knew what park you are playing in that would help.

Go to your league and click on statistics on the menu bar. Then click on your team. The URL (web address) should then change to have a number at the end. Copy this URL into a message so that we can all view your team. It must have the numbers on the end and not .html.

More help will come when we can view your team like this.

The cards of my starters are fine... compared to who is left. Im not really worried about my pitchers (maybe I should be?). I'm worried about my line-up and who to place where.

I plan on trading a SP... wavier wire is over and it sucks that you only get 80%

thanks for your help

Some help from someone in your league. First teams are almost always learning experiences.

There are areas of concern I would have. Both of your centerfielders have a 3 range and a + arm. You have Young at shortstop, also a 3. Both catchers also have + arms. That middle defense will be costly.

Holiday is a significant injury risk. Since your park is definitely a homer friendly park, you need two or three guys in your lineup with max BP HRs. You don't have that. Holliday would help, but he'll be hurt alot, and Stewarts defense as a backup won't help. Atkins defense at 3rd won't help either.

You need to get down to 4 * SPs, get rid of the rest, and use the money somewhere else. Otherwise, it's just wasted, even given the 80% return. Basically, you have 4 million of starting pitching that will be underutilized or not utilized.

I haven't had alot of these guys on teams, and others could be more helpful, but I'd say Giles and Abreu need to be at the top of your order, then probably Young, Giambi, Holiday Atkins. You can't bat Pierre or Gathright near the top of your order, because their OBP will kill you. In general, put OBPat the top, your best hitter third, power four five, clutch five six, and go from there.

You probably have too many relievers, too many starters, and could take some of that money and find more power and a better CF.

Finally, Haren and Loiza have too many BP HRs on their cards for my liking. Probably won't play well in your park.

Just my two cents. There are many players far more experienced with this set than I am, so listen closely! First teams are killers.

Dump Millwood, Morris, both 3Bmen, Holliday, Stewart, Gathright, Huff, Benitez & German and see if there are better options than Riske (too many HR's for Rogers). Get a real solid offensive & defensive thirdbaseman. Get a steady everyday LFer & RHRP's that give up fewer HR's. Go with 4 *SP's & a .5 guy who never sees the light of day.

FYI, until results are run, the 80% rule doesn't kick in, so, there is still time. Make sure you watch when you drop a guy that you are still getting your full $$$ back.

Clark is a DH. Get a 2 in center. Hustle. 15 minutes till the early scores are posted.
