Claim your own prizes - get credits for ANY game

[i:499ae9c5b1](FantaSim Baseball managers please pay attention to the first item in the Notes section below)[/i:499ae9c5b1]

Effective immediately, you may now claim any Strat-O-Matic Online prizes you win going forwards as team credits towards [i:499ae9c5b1]your choice of any other Strat-O-Matic Online game[/i:499ae9c5b1] - not just the one you just played. Additionally, as soon as your Finals is over, you have the ability to claim said prize(s) [i:499ae9c5b1]yourself[/i:499ae9c5b1]; that means no more waiting until the following Friday to have them granted to you.

Here's how it works. If you're playing in the Finals of your league, as soon as the clinching game is over and posted, you'll see a notice indicating that you've won either 1 or 2 new team credits (whether you lost or won the series), and inviting you to claim it/them at your leisure. A link will take you to a page listing the games eligible to you; as of now all Strat-O-Matic Online games are on the list. Just click on the one you want, and a team credit for that game will be added to your account, for you to use immediately if desired. If you're the League Champ you can choose a different game for each of your 2 credits, if you want.

Notes:
- FantaSim Baseball also benefits from this upgrade; however, league winners are only able to accept a credit for another FantaSim Baseball team as their prize. The link to claim the prize yourself will appear once the last game of the season is over and posted.

- If you've already received your prize(s) from leagues you've played in the past, you'll see a notice on the Front Office of those teams saying something to the effect of "You've already claimed the prize(s) you won." For Finals teams in leagues that began their regular season on 11/13/06 and already received 1 prize credit for reaching the Finals, the eventual Champion will see a link to claim 1 additional prize in the new method.

- I realize that we've previously awarded 1 credit to the 2 teams reaching the Finals on the day (Friday) after Games 1 and 2 are played, and that the new system would delay the receipt of said prize by 1-3 days (until after the series is over). I trust that you'll find that a minor issue in the wake of the major upgrade that this new system represents.

Enjoy! Cue the snide comments about never actually getting into the Finals...

Question Bernie?

What about credit transfers, and/or purchasing of new 5 packs?

If I purchase a 5 pack for 06, can I transfer 3 credits to ATG3 myself? If I already have say 2 unused ATG3 credits, could I transfer 1 to 70's or 06 by myself?

If not, when will this be added?

Bernie, you know how happy I am to hear this. Thanks for fighting for this for us, I know you've been trying to get this approved by your bosses for years.

It was the whole reason for the "disappearance" of "Bickel Bombers" and the reincarnation under this name. Maybe I should go back to Bickel Bombers again...

Thanks Bernie, you da man!

This is a great first step Bernie - thanks, and be assured we appreciate it. Don't want to sound unappreciative but...

Now is there a plan for the second step to be taken? For those of us with current credits in 2006, or 2005 (for example) that most likely won't be used in the near future - who now would like to try the new 70's game - how long are we going to be required to dip into our wallets before we can exchange those old existing credits for credits in these others? I would think that most of us would jump at the chance to try a new game with an existing credit, which could lead to us forking over more dough for a 5 pack once we see how fun it is.

Is this in the works?

ummm isnt that already done kaviksdad? check your credits - if you have any unclaimed ones - and try to redeem them. I am pretty sure it asks you what game you want to try and the 70s game is there. I remember I debated it but since I will buy a 5-pack soon anyway I decided to keep it in 2006. However this is going forward. I had just won that credit. I can do nothing with my already "claimed" credits.
