Johnny Gomes and a sub-$4M pitching staff

Wondering about people's take on Johnny Gomes. League starting Monday, where I've taken him in RF over Jose Guillen.

I'm setting it up to sub for him defensively with the lead, but his card seems to have awesome potential offensively.

As it is, I missed out on some SP's I wanted, so now have a staff of all sub-$4M guys (except for Jones as my closer). It feels like a good team heading into the start of the season.

I'd welcome any thoughts or revisions some of you vets of the game might suggest...

Usually in a hitting park, Gomes is good for 30 hr's and 100 RBI's...

Not enough pitching

I would look for a much cheaper solid fielding shortstop and use the money to shore up you pitching. I couldn't see who was available, but, I'd concentrate on getting a 100+ potential middle relief to allow you to stay close until your power catches up. You will score in bunches, and you need to be able to keep close.
