It's early in the season but I'm struggling to get more innings to Calero over Kieshnick and Atchinson. Any suggestions? Quantrill is currently set to mopup and WAGS is set to come in the 7th and be the setup and closer. I don't want less innings from WAGS, but I want to minimize my 2nd tier RP innings.

Bump...I'm really struggling to get the ball in Calero's hands. Any words of wisdom are welcomed. :)

One solution would be to have all relievers except Calero and Quantrill set at "do not come before the 7th". This way, if one of your SP get out early, you will have Calero come into the game, pitch to the 7th, and give the ball to either Wagner or Quantrill/Kiech., depending on whether you succeded or not to take the lead. If the game is really blown away, then hopefully the ball will be given to Quantrill. More interestingly, you will have Calero come into the 6th in tight games, where he could pitch until he gives the ball to Wagner in the 7th or 8th inning.
Another solution would be to have Calero put as set-up vs rhp, and leave Wagner as set-up vs lhp and closer.
Thanks Marcus.

I'll give your suggestion a try and see if I can push more innings to Calero.

i wouldnt recommend doing that. if you do, they will pull wagner if he is tired to bring in one of those .9M pieces of shit. they will close a lot of games for you and you dont want that.

Its funny, on some teams this has been a real problem for me, on others not at all. I definitely would "hide" one of the cheapies by placing them on avoid their weak side, quick hook, max 1-2 innings. I always have the big guy on avoid blowout. Given an innings problem, I would NOT click avoid use before __ inning, just leave those boxes unchecked.
thanks

I'm willing to try anything as Calero continues to be overlooked in relief opportunities.
