Why Does Franklin get a Save?

I was winning 13-0 when Franklin was put into the game. The only reason I could think of is he pitched 3 1/3 innings. It does not seem like you should get a save for keeping a 13 run lead.

If you go three or more innings and finish a win you get a save no matter what the score. This is an old rule that doesn't come into play much anymore.
