Did a similar theme in ATG and it seems to be popular.
There aren't as many teams in 2007 but the concept is still good.
Basically you take the region you would like to play and use the players from those teams - no trading - only the players on those teams with 1 of their ballparks.
80 mil with a DH to give the low cap teams a good shot.
Sign up for whichever region you want.
Here's how I broke it down:
East
AL East - NYY & Bost
NL East - NYM & Phil
South East - Wash, Balt and Atlanta
Florida - Tampa & Florida
Central
Chicago - Cubs & Sox
Rust Belt - Clev & Det
Smoke Stack - Pitts & Cinn + 1 F/A
North - Minn, Tor & Milw
West
Southern Cal - LAD, LAA & SanDiego
Northwest - SFG, Oak, Seattle
Mid-West - StL, KC, Col
South West - Hou, Tex & Ariz

seems a bit unfair-3 quality teams? The Doger/LAA/SD Stl/KC/Col Houston/Tex/Ariz seems a bit unfair as well. I love the idea but is there a way to make it fair? Maybe just 2 teams and then a 3 round "draft" of the players left over from the other teams? You could make it a straight draft based on total team value.

Since I'm in Arlington (VA), I'll do South East. Balt is mostly a lost cause (well there is Tejada), but maybe I can work Nicky Markakis into the lineup.
