Jose Valentin - "L" or "S"

Jose Valentin is a switch hitter according to espn.com, and also his card. When I filled my lineup, hw came rup as an "L" hitter though.

On my team roster, he's shown as an "L". I hope this is some glitch, because I may bat him at #2 vs RHPs, and wouldn't mind someone who can turn it around there.

I wonder if there is anyway to fix this?

Wow, never noticed that. I don't know what the computer code actually shows, it might be a display table error only since the card image still shows him as a switch-hitter. I suggest you post this in the questions/suggestions/complaint forum. Not sure if it can be fixed though.

Wow, that is a first. It is also a pretty big glitch in my opinion. I would imagine, the gamecard would be the correct designation since it is the one being used in the game engine......but you just never know.

BTW, the other Valentin (the catcher) is a switch hitter who is a 6R. Perhaps they are related and their dad was their hitting coach growing up. He must have been right handed......because the Valentin boys can't hit a lefty to save their life!!

Valentin is a career switch hitter that no longer will bat from the right side.

Look at his splits and you'll see that his defence is not all that is lacking of a Major Leaguer.

I believe he made a promise to only bat lefty after leaving the White Sox.

espn.com information is way out-dated

Doesn't change the fact that he hit from both sides in 2006 (319 ABs as a LH vs RHP and 112 ABs as a RH vs LHP). For the 2007 set (2006 season) he should be listed as a switch-hitter. He also batted -once- as a lefty against a lefty.

In the CD-ROM he is listed as "S". I think this is just a TSN/printed card error. His stats come up correct in CD-ROM & TSN bases their game on the same engine & stats as CD-ROM from what I understand....

Except the printed card says "S" not "L". What are you saying?
