Can an e-7 OF make a 3-base error? (MCameron paranoia redux)

Okay. Back to Mike Cameron. Last night, my CF-1 e-7 alleged defensive superstar made a three base error. With the bases loaded.

Normally, I would just shrug this off and figure the game knows best. But as some might recall from an earlier question, Cameron previously gave up a double + a 2-base throwing error. I'm concerned he could be miscoded.

Or am I wrong? Is there a 3-base error option for an e-7?

Once upon a time in my youth I had all these charts, but who knows where they are now? I don't think I had updated charts anyway. And the online resource that replicated them is no more (unless anybody's found a new one).

Thanks for any perspective anyone can provide on this.

I don't have the charts in front of me, but...

I'd say I'm 90% sure a 1e7 CF can make a 3-base error... and statistically, I suppose it should happen to an e7 CF about once per year.

Remember, an e7 is really only [i:e7e19991be]average[/i:e7e19991be] among CF. More than 20 CF with ranges of 1 or 2 in SOMO 2007 have an e-rating of 6 or less.

Thank you for this information and perspective. I appreciate it and feel better.

Ironically, Cameron popped up as the #2 guy in line for the Gold Glove in CF in my league this morning. He must be doing some things right.
