Is there any advantage to having your SP getting 4 days rest as opposed to 3 days rest in this game? SGT D

SGT D,

you've been here a while havne't you??

anyways, what do you mean advantage? The only real advantage is in the playoffs, where your #1 can go games 1 and 5, but a 5 man staff has to use all 5. During the season, it's just whatever ends up being best for your team.

I'm using more 5 man staffs this year, as there aren't enough * sp's (well decent) to go around. Last year you could go either way, this year, you have to choose.

Like he said, can be a big advantage in game five when you have Johan and he has Ted Lilly.

I was looking at it like this; Does HAL see the SP with the extra day of rest causing him to pitch longer without fatigue playing a role or does it not matter? SGT D

The way to prevent this is to have your #1 SP be a *SP with the rest of your rotation being non-*SP. That way you can start your *SP in game 1 and 5 and he will get many more starts than the rest of your rotation if you so choose.

It doesn't matter.
