1st leagues are just under 100 games . My team just got back over .500 for the 1st time since week one .

[b:868d259753]How's everyone fairing thus far ? [/b:868d259753]

Here's my crew . It looks alot different from week one .I had hitters who weren't hitting and pitchers getting lit up ,so I made my changes before the cap went up . That has subsided since a few calculated moves .

I saw one team while researching going with cheap pitchers (Bonser and less) with low whips. they were doing quite well.

Playing at a .580 clip with a small sample of 250 games. Whether it works long term remains to be seen. So far what's worked so far for me, is a concentration on defense, doubles, $3 to $5 *SP's, and a stud closer, in a pitching park. Luis Gonzalez on the hitting side, Josh Beckett on the pitching side, allow $ to be spent elsewhere.

Decent S5's plus good bullpen = pitching money spent wisely.

Gary Sheffield DH (vs lefties) = awesomeness in a jar.

Agree on all accounts with the exception that I haven't used Beckett or Gonzalez. It's interesting how differently '07 seems to play from '06; the focus on doubles, though, is a big thing.
