Waiver question

When setting up the order of a waiver ... do you need to keep a position player on your team for 'every' position ... for example ... say earlier in the waiver rankings you set up to drop your ONLY second baseman ... to pick up someone who DOES NOT play second base ... will that waiver transaction be invalid? ... (The thought would be to pick up a second baseman later in the lower waiver picks) ... any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks :D

No need to have a 2B on your roster during the process, as long as you've got two catchers, 4 pure relief guys, 1 guy with a closer rating, and 5 SPs, you're good to go.

You're fine doing what you described.

I believe the game will let you know if yo're doing something "illegal," such as carrying too few catchers, starting pitchers, relief pitchers, or closers. In my experience, it will tell you that you cannot drop that player during waivers because you must pick up a replacement for that player, and are unable to do so at the current time.

Make sense?
