if you have a player on your roster that dosn't have a back up to play his position say cf, could he still get injured? Say if so and there are no more outfilders, lf, or rf to field his position, would Hal just put anyone that is on the bench even just an infielder to play cf? Thanks

Any healthy player will fill the position. If the player is not rated defensively for that postion he will get 5e65

The only position which requires a healthy player is catcher.

Your last healthy catcher can not become injured while your other catcher is injured. No other position has that guarantee. Therefore you only need two catcher rated players on your roster.

Get a backup for your cf but don't spend more than .50 to .75 (unless you have a very injury prone CF). Make sure this backup is no worse than a 2 fielder. Generally, when you pick backups at cf, ss, or 2b, you need them to be good fielders but not hitters.
