CLOSER HELP

I have tried everything that I know to do to stop HAL from bringing in my closer before the 9th. I have closer set to "maximize" and two RP's designated to "Do Not Use Before 8th Inning", in addition to my designated middle relievers.

Do any of you gurus know anything else to do to prevent 2 inning closer appearances?

It really irritates me. Am I missing something here? Does anybody know of any team that regularly puts their closer in in the 8th inning?

HAL? Do you know of any team that does that?

:?

How about a link to your team/teams?

They should bring back the do not use before 9th inning setting, just in case a guy wanted to use a C3 as a closer.

I'd also like to see a only use in mop-up/extra inning's setting.

I agree with the other posts. If he has a C2 rating or higher don't worry about it. There is no use in "saving" a guy's arm for later in the year. There is no cumulative fatigue affect in Strat so don't sweat it.

Thanks for the replies Socal it's on all 10 of my teams (I know- I have a problem) :? )

I was trying to set it up just so it is slightly more realistic, i.e. a guy to get thru the 8th to set up the closer. I guess I see the point about the fatigue factor, and I'll stop obsessing. It just didn't make sense to me in light of the setting choices.I wish they would bring back the 9th inning option as well. It seems lke a reasonable choice to have.

Thanks for the input.
