Need more help with my team

I'm ready to throw the towel in. I've tinkered and tinkered and every time I get 2 or 3 series' in a row that I win I come back with an 0-3 sandwiched between 1-2 series'. Please take a look and let me know if I need to just get used to being a whipping boy. It's so frustrating having a team that looks great on paper and not being able to figure out why the computer hates me so much.

Can you tell us what your lineups are against lefties and righties (include the positions of the players)?

Well im far from an expert ...
but IMO, Beltran, berkman are BAD fits for fenway......

id look for more RH power.......more pitching....and more OBP

playing in fenway you NEED HIGH OBP , more importantly than hr's

Consider

Cut SP F. Hernandez and replace with .5 SP who never sees the light of day. Not high on A. Huff as your everyday 3B at Fenway. Consider using extra cash to upgrade 3B.

"Goredsox33", Can you explain why Berkman is a bad fit for Fenway? :?:
Thanks.

I can explain it because it is what I have been told from day one. First reason - he will hit left handed versus righties, and Fenway favors right handed hitters. Second - he has many ball park dependent HR's, and you want pure HR hitters, not ones that have the # next to them.

The advice I most frequently get is to get right handed mashers in Fenway. 1/4 of the way through the season is not the time to go shopping though. Most guys are only vaguely paying attention, so trading is out of the question. Losing 20% of his salary handicaps you badly. So, I'm trying to rough it out with him, though you'll see by my rant from Sunday that it is getting harder by the day.

Actually, Berkman and Beltran are "natural" HR guys vs rhp's(they each have I think three HR rolls vs rhp's), but Fenway is a big handicap for any S or LH power hitter to overcome. I have Ortiz struggling similarly on a team. Other lesser sluggers would do even worse than Beltran/Berkman.
