Vizquel goes down for a game. In his infinite wisdom, here's the lineup he put out for my team:

J.Cruz LF 5 0 2 0 .400
T.Helton 1B 5 0 1 0 .125
G.Matthews Jr RF 4 1 2 0 .429
J.McDonald SS 5 0 0 0 .000
M.Ordonez DH 4 3 2 0 .286
M.Cabrera 3B 5 2 2 1 .333
V.Wells CF 4 3 3 3 .556
B.Molina C 1 0 1 11.000
A-C.Coste PR,C 3 0 2 0 .286
L.Castillo 2B 4 1 1 4 .222
-- -- -- ---

McDonald batting 4th???

Not complaining, cuz it happens to everyone. I found it quite amusing actually. Sometimes you gotta have fun with the game :)

Is Vizquel normally one of the top 2 in your batting order? If so, then that reinforces my guess at what's happening. Don't blame Hal, blame me on this one. I'm working on improving the situation. Thanks.

You mean like subbing in Alex Cora at DH (#2 batter) and batting him fourth? But who am I to argue, Cora went 2 for 5 and drove in 2 runs.

I also had Cora come in as DH in the 4 hole replacing Vlad while Lopez sat on the bench!! He took a o-fer for me though. Maybe Cora is a secret weapon in this years set :?:

I've had a similar thing happen to me (in two consecutive games). Tucker (leadoff guy was injured), for two games in a row HAL batted Schumaker 4th ... fortunately things worked out in our favor, but it is a liitle crazy to see that sort of thing.

I guess Dye, Ramirez, Jones & Ross don't fit the 'logic' of a possible clean up batters? :)
