Draft order rip off!

Draft order rip off!

How could I have Randy Johnson as my first pick and end up with Glendon Rusch?

Another team got Schilling and Garcia as their 2nd and 3rd pick pitchers (after Santana)

Shouldnt I have gotten the next highest Starter at that time?

Is it the next highest starter, or the next highest uncontested starter.

The next improvement should be weighted waiver picks, so missing RJ is not the same as missing Jim Brower.

That's one of the quirks about this year's version of the game - the starting pitching pool is so shallow that if you miss getting the stud in the autodraft chances are good that every other stud is on someone else's draft card and you end up with a Glendon Rusch.

Weighted waivers will help some -

This should definitely be priority #1 for the next set of cards. I hope TSN doesn't get cute and try to add things that seem sexy but really don't mean much in the long run and forget about the things that really effect the quality of the game.

Weighted Waivers

I also concur with the other comments made about making weighted waivers a top priority for the next round of improvements and certainly by the time the 2005 cards are released next spring.

Absolutely agree, but I wouldn't cross my fingers. I've been on TSN's case about weighted waivers after the release of the 2002 game (when they first introduced the waiver system). They ignored it in the 2003 game, the '80's game, the 2005 game, the new ATG game and now the new '69 game.

Based on this, I'm not holding out any hopes that they'll finally institute a weighted waivers system for the 2006 game unfortunately.
