General Strategy Question

Hey guys, I have a decent 2006 team that I think could be doing a lot better if not for 2 problems - first, I leave a ton of guys on base, and second, I lose a lot of games in the 9th inning. Are these problems that are player specific, bad luck, or is it a managerial setting issue?

Let's see your team, and your lineups.

For some reason I still think u are getting too many innings from the specialists and not enough from Street.

U have him setting up both ways???

Hah.....Turtle....you're the one who told me to do that! I couldn't agree more though. I need Street and Rivera doing all of the late inning work with maybe a few batters faced by specialists.

Regardless of the team though, what is it that factors so heavily into the high LOB number?

I wasn't sure what high or low LOB was so I looked at your schedule.

Last 30 games (70-99):

Your LOB - 219
Your opponents - 211

I also looked at a couple of my '06 teams (games 70-99):

Slugging team in the Cell - 177
Petco team - 271

It seems your LOB is not out of the ordinary.
