I have been here a while and I always thought if you drafted a closer that you HAD to get a replacement guy that could close...I tried to draft JJPutz and I got Beniot.....how did that happen ...I don't have anyone on my team above a C1 now

Based upon the price, NOT the closer rating.

All closers are considered RP. You will get the next highest priced RP that is not on any other AD card if you don't get your closer.
TSN/SOM doesn't know which RP you plan on using as your closer. You are not even required to use a RP that has a closer rating at all.

this is a feature Bernie needs to fix, I was pretty sure back in the day that if you did not draft someone who could close it told you to pick somebody with a rating....I am sure he can make it set so if you draft a C6 guy it will pick thhe next C6 guy or set it lower to next with at least C3 ....couple guys in my league drafted ALL closer (they have at least four C6 guys on roster) and the highest priced closer left is Todd Jones ....

What if you are trying to draft an R2/C1 pitcher and don't get him? Will you then be forced to get another RP that is closer rated? I don't like that.
What about that other team in your league that drafted all closers? Obviously all of them can't close. Should he have been required to get another R6 guy if he was unsuccessful in drafting one of those guys? I don't think he would have wanted that either.
Why don't you just try trading for one of his closers?
