Other parks are SkyDome, SkyDome, Ameriquest.

There's my team. Let me know what you think. I also have a couple of questions for you guys.

1. Has anyone used Scott Dohmann before? What kind of experience did you have with him?

2. How about Jarrod Washburn?

3. Brad Hennessey is a division-type pick up for me, since he's cheap and he can keep the ball down. Would you guys consider this to be a good idea, or should I try to find someone else?

Finally, Neifi Perez is going to be my second baseman. I figure that will all the beef at the front of the order, I could settle for steady defense at second base rather than looking for another player at a much higher price because they might hit a little better.

I'd like to hear some thoughts on the matter.

JD:

My comments:

SP
I'm not sure it is a good idea to mix SP with SP*. My advice - either go with a 4 man rotation or a 5-man rotation. At this stage, I'd probably go with a 5-man rotation since all of the good SP* will be long gone.

Don't like Rusch
Escobar - good value in Shea
Mulder - don't like him
Washburn - good value
Hennessey - who?

RP
Obviously you are going with the strategy of having two stud RPs (Wagner and Lidge). I've never tried this myself. Your other three RPs are not particularly good Shea RPs in my opinion.

Hitters

C
Do you really want Torrealba to be your everyday catcher? I don't think so. And are you really planning to use Nevin as your back-up C?

DH - Ortiz is awesome against RHP. No doubt. But against LHP, he is not great.

2B Perez - not a good choice for SHea.

SS Rollins - is excellent in Shea.

3B - Hernandez - not a good choice for Shea

LF - Abreu - excellent

CF - Edmonds - don't like him. I know that he is great defensively and offensively but in my opinion, he is too expensive. I never like to have anyone on my teams who costs more than $8m. He has less than 600 PAs, and is therefore susceptible to the dreaded 15 game injury which would hurt you bad.

RF Burnitz - not a good choice for Shea, IMHO.

This is a link to another Shea team that I have/had. The season ends tonight and we head to the post season. Just thought I would open this up to show you how some of these players worked out for me previously.

Thanks for the thoughts, guys.

Maybe you should be the one giving advice rather than asking for it if you've got Shea teams that are winning 95 games... :D

Rusch is good in Shea, and Mulder is a great value, also. D. Davis is also usually good at Shea, too.

You should be giving Shea advice, not taking it! Your [i:4fc30d11a1]Big Dumb Machine[/i:4fc30d11a1] team may the best pitching staff results for the price that I've seen yet.

I don't know what your situation was in this league (love from HAL, weak divisional opponents, favorable stadium match-ups...), but whatever it was...WELL DONE! :o

I watched Rusch win 22 games w/ a 3+ ERA, so maybe he`s dependent on D ( lots of pitchers are)

The other parks in the division were Comerica, Wrigley, and Montreal, so I'm thinking that HAL loved me in that season. The third place team won 89 games, so I was kind of pushed to do well or lose. :P
