Injuries forcing my boss, HAL, to make lineup moves.

This is against Bedard, a LH. I don't understand Berkman leading off when guys like Logan, Molina and especially Ozuna are hitting lower in the lineup.

The fact that I won, has NOTHING to do with it. I just wanna understand this logic.

This was game 2 last night.

Again, why is Giles this time leading off when Guillen, Ozuna and let's say Berkman, are batting down in the order?

If OB is the deciding factor on who is gonna lead off Bernie...I have ZERO problems with this logic. Where is it though in this 2 examples?

where else ya gonna put berkman vs lhp with yadier molina in the game?

especially with m giles and figgins in the lineup.....

at least berkman has around 40 obp chances. personally i'd have bigger issues with guillen in the five spot with ozuna's clutch being positive.

vs rhp i would have probably switched ozuna and giles but would have wanted berkman and guillens slugging lower than 1.

looks to me like it is some combination of obp AND slugging that gets ya in the 1 spot. ozuna's slugging is slightly better than giles vs rhp....

When I last posted this FM, Bernie said it was the OB, I believe, as the determining factor.

Navarro led off a game vs. LH's because of his OB.

the above seems to say that it's a very important factor but not necessarily the only important factor.

either way, i can't argue with HAL's lineup vs lhp given your players available.

So we agree to disagree FM.

I'd go with Ozuna OR Logan leading off ANYDAY vs. LH's. Berkman, probably somewhere around 6th or 7th, and hope for a HR.
