Since HAL keeps a pitch count on each batter, does that mean if you have a baserunner HAL rolls for a lead on EVERY pitch? Or is there one roll for a lead per batter that comes up :?:

Pitch count is an arbitrary number put in SOM to make the box scores more interesting.

One roll per batter.

One roll per base per baserunner, actually. If, let's say, there are no outs, runner on 1st goes for the lead and doesn't get it, batter strikes out... the guy on 1st is not then allowed to go for the lead with the next batter. It's already determined that he doesn't have the lead to try to steal 2nd, and that's that. (An exception is if the defense changes their pitcher or catcher. Then he can try again.)
