Been thinking about this for a few days now. It sort of combines the Whatif game with ours here.

You take the Strat seasons 2001-2007 and combine them with all of the players, stadiums as well.

So for example, say you were looking for a LF. You wanted Bonds on your team. You have a choice of Bonds from ANY of those Strat years.

The players would keep their prices of their respective years.

And once Bonds was selected, all of his other years are gone.

So you could sport a team with Pujols (2003) with Bonds (2004), Freddy Sanchez (2007) with Pedro Feliz (2003).

It would be very unrealistic...but hey, I'm allowed to dream.

Sounds like the mystery card games except you get to pick the best year out of the five or maybe the year that is suitable to your lineup and your salary cap.

With an 80 million cap, it would have to be like this...

Sounds very interesting....infinitely better than the mystery sets. I hate the mystery sets... :evil:

Sorry to pee in the campfire but the autodraft functionality would be a disaster.

Let's say I AD the 15m Bonds and somebody else tries for the 10m version. What happens to the other guy's pick if I get mine?

Also, FA picks would be tough from a programming standpoint.

I love the concept, but truthfully do not see it as a viable one.

The idea came to me after 4 margaritas.

I didn't need to work out the details in my already buzzing head. :wink:

let's just bring back 2001!
