Hafner injured 10 games?

I realize the new injury rating says players with 600 at bats or over get injured only three games. Hafner has 550 and a 1 injury rating and just got injured for 10 games. Shouldn't it be more like five?

Under 600 PA guys CAN get hurt from 0-15 games.

Nope, players with less than 600 plate appearences can be injured from one game up to fifteen games any time the dice lands on an injury roll. I've actually had the miserable experience in the past of having a less than 600 PA 1 rated injury go down for a total of 33 games over a 7 at bat span. That experience gave me a whole new philosophy of ever having players over $5 with less than 600 plate appearences. Unless the draft was unkind to me, I'll rarely have one on my team anymore.

Yeah, I know but Hafner should have been given a 2 I think. I wouldn't have drafted him then, but oh, well, he is a monster while he's playing.

I don't think he should have been given a 2, since he did have close to 600 pa's..that would only mean he would miss more games!!
It is pretty realistic tho, he only played in 129 games, which means in a realistic environment, he should miss 33 games a season....
Another way to look at it...if he did have over 600 PA's, he would cost between 13-14 million $$....

You make a valid point, but not to beat the dead horse, but Ramirez and Hafner both have similar games and at bats. Ramirez has a 2 and Hafner has a 1 injury rating but Hafner is worth 2 mil more. Ramirez in my league just got injured for 5 games, not 10. Just doesn't seem consistent to me. I know they both missed a lot of games but I also know in my last league Hafner never missed a game. Is it luck of the draw? I guess I should be glad it wasn't 15.

Injuries are luck of the draw. Next time Manny could get a 15 game injury while Hafner only gets 1 game.
