Hernandez is a 2(-1)e1 catcher and has some pop. Drafted him hoping to play everyday at C. Thru 156 games he has committed 23 errors, leading my team. There has got to be something wrong with his card. Most errors are throwing, where he has a 17, but how can a guy who played everyday and made one error be given a 17? Any ideas?

Just an FYI, but Ramon Hernandez had 13 errors last year in real MLB.

He is an e1 but don't forget that he is also a T-17. Almost all of his errors will be throwing errors on SB attempts.

I understand now - thanks. I was not aware that is how Strat-O distinguished between errors around the "dish" and throwing errors. I did not know R Hernandez made 13 errors last year in real play. So the card is more accurate now than I had earlier thought. He is up to 24 errors today vs. 13 in real play

Personally, I will set my setting to "aggresive" for base stealing if the catcher has a high throwing error amount especially if his arm is not strong and the pitcher has an average or worse hold rating.
