Opening night snafu

:?: How did a player I released two hours before opening night (Cuddyer) hit two home runs for me? Ordonez, who I picked up, shows up on my roster, but he hit two home runs and drove in seven for the team that released him. That hasn't happened before. The results were about the same, but I don't think our opponents are pleased.

rosters are set at 10pm EST, games play at 12 AM EST, if they are dropped after the roster set time, they will show up for that nights game.

The lineups are set at 7pm, but add/drops can occur until games run, usually 10pm Pacific or thereabouts, so in that 3 hour time window you can use a player for your 1st 3 games, then drop him without penalty.
