League issues, Mon. night (7/9) - Tues. morning (7/10)

[b:57bedcca14]Update, 3:11pm ET[/b:57bedcca14]

All leagues that were originally delayed (Point 1, below) are now up to date. Once again I apologize for the wait.

Also, a reminder that later today I will be posting some details of what we're doing to guard against problems like this in the future, as well as general improvements to our infrastructure.

------
(Original post)

We experienced several technical problems last night (Monday night); here's an update.

1. Our database crashed around 12:45am ET last night, preventing us from processing last night's games for a number of leagues. If your league is one of them, we're sorry for the delay. We are currently doing everything we can to get back to a position where we can update your leagues. We expect that to be early this afternoon.

2. For all the leagues that were completed before the incident, their games were played without changes made to team settings (lineups, rotation, etc.) by Monday night at 10pm ET in effect. The settings as of Sunday night at 10pm ET were in effect instead. The leagues affected by this are listed below. The leagues that haven't been played yet as of this writing will not be affected when they are run - they will use the correct settings as of Monday night.

Please accept our sincerest apologies for these issues. I will be working on extra levels of safeguards for much-needed redundancy to make sure these things don't happen. I'll also be posting a report detailing everything I do on this front, later today.

What if, as in playoff league TSN_1861, only one game was run? Does that mean that game 1 will have Sunday's settings, and game 2 Monday's? Or will you be playing both of those games from scratch since we don't have any visable results from game 1 yet?

Since there are no official results yet for your league, consider it not started. So it should be unaffected. Also, it's not on the list of affected leagues I posted above, for confirmation.

Bernie, I know how hard you are working on fixing last night problems. But when this game was run it had started Bartolo Colon instead of my regular starter Ervin Santana. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advanced and keep up the good work.

Bernie, please be aware of a bug that happened the last time something like this happened.

In series that were already started, say 1/3 games played, when restarting them, it redid the first game, but treated the pitcher who pitched that game as already pitched, and completely messed up the rotations going along. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.

Another weirdness: A trade made mid-afternoon was not reflected in last night's games. Since I swept, I'm not complaining.

Hi Bernie,

This game also had some strange starters. I know my starter wasn't hurt for the game not sure about the other team.

I didn't even know that there was a problem. Man, I need to pay more attention than I have been. Maybe not, I'm just having a good time. :D
