I need bullpen advice

My current team is 1-6 in one-run games, principally because the wrong guy always seems to be pitching late in the game. I would appreciate suggestions as to how to best manage this group of knuckleheads.

Your best reliever is Howry so most of the late innings needs to go to him.

Obviously with the game on the line Gonzo needs to come in AND see alot of the inngs also.

I would:

Quick hook Valverde, avoid lefties, 1 to 2 innings.
Quick hook Cordero, avoid lefties, 1 to 2 innings.
Quick hook McBride, avoid righties, 1 to 2 innings.

then...

Slow hook Howry, avoid before the 6th., IBB less and
Slow hook Gonzo, avoid before the 8th.

Have Howry setup vs. righties and lefties and Gonzo to close both ways.

You could also leave the closer blank as some managers leave it up to HAL.

Put Valverde on avoid lefty batters, Put Mcbride on avoid righty battes, Howry is probally your best pitcher because he`s even in balance and he has a low whip. Try to maximize him, and Gonalez.

With all the avoid right and avoid left, might it make sense to add one more low cost LHP to the pen, avoid right, to give HAL some flexibility?
