When you declare that someone is available for trade and nobody responds. Then when you drop the guy they pick him up. Man, I hate that...

I somewhat agree, but if it's obvious you have to cut the player, I might take a shot I'm around when the cut happens myself, if the player is an upgrade but not really a necessity. But, you're right, if someone needs him to make a significant upgrade, why not take a shot with an offer. Worse case scenario is a no thanks from your end. Chances are though, if you need to get the guy off your team for lack of position, and you have no other offers, unless you're in the same division, you'll probably agree to the trade, just to keep him out of the division if he's close to decent.
