Pedro Martinez question

Is it worth attempting to draft Pedro Martinez? I ask this as he has 4 BPHR's to Left and 3 to right so is it advisable to try and get him if the park he is going to play in has a BPHR rating of 10 or over. I've never had him before you see and the BP chances scare me a bit. Anyone got a view on the great Pedro?

Well worth drafting no matter the park.

I have to disagree. Few, if any league I've participated in, has his ERA been any better than average, if average at all. Depends on the ballpark I suppose. I've rated him high on the first two teams in the pre-rankings, my next eight, after seeing his performance, I haven't even bothered.

I have used Pedro several times and for the most part I have been happy with him. I don't think I would use him in a hitters park though. Below is a link to a team that won a championship for me with Pedro on it, playing in Angels Stadium.

I've had more luck with Pedro than with Zambrano, Oswalt, or Garcia.

A definite bargain in a pitchers park... :)
